COMPRESSION SYSTEMS

We are proud to carry NormaTec systems for your use!  We carry multiple sizes to accommodate for the vast height range that we see!  With attachments for the legs, hips, and arms we can help with recovery for a large portion of the body!  There are several pre-programmed options or a tech can program a custom program specific to you!  As your need varies, so does the program. We can vary it for location on your extremity to focus on certain areas as well as allowing pulsing for an increase of blood flow as well.

Pulsing:

Instead of using static compression (squeezing) to transport fluid out of the limbs, Sequential Pulse Technology uses dynamic compression (pulsing). Our patented pulsing action more effectively mimics the muscle pump of the legs and arms, greatly enhancing the movement of fluid and metabolites out of the limbs after an intense workout.

Gradients:

Veins and lymphatic vessels have one-way valves that prevent fluid backflow. Similarly, NormaTec Pulse Technology uses hold pressures to keep fluids from being forced in the wrong direction. Because of this enhancement, instead of tapering pressure off, the PULSE and PULSE PRO can deliver maximum pressure in every zone.

Distal Release:

Because extended static pressure can be detrimental to the body’s normal circulatory flow, Sequential Pulse Technology releases the hold pressures once they are no longer needed to prevent backflow. By releasing the hold pressure in each zone as soon as possible, each portion of the limb gains maximal rest time without a significant pause between compression cycles.

• Acute deep vein thrombosis

• Severe Atherosclerosis or other ischemic vascular diseases

• Suspect or known acute deep vein thrombosis

• Severe congestive cardiac failure

• Existing pulmonary edema

• Existing pulmonary embolism

• Extreme deformity of the limba

• Any local skin or tissue condition which the garments would interefere with such as gangrene, untreated or infected wounds, recent skin graft, and dermatitis

• Known presence of malignancy in the legs

• Limb infections, including dellulitis, that have not received antibiotic coverage

• Presence of Lymphangiosarcoma

Wear exercise clothing to your appointment. That's it! Try to arrive 5-10 minutes early to allow for setup time.

How does NormaTec Recovery Systems work?

Using it’s Sequential Pulse Pneumatic waveform, NormaTec uses three unique massage techniques to help speed up the body’s normal recovery process: pulsing compression, gradients, and distal release. These three mechanisms help maximize circulation throughout the body to help you recover faster and perform better.

When and how long should I use NormaTec?

NormaTec can be used both before and after exercise no matter the duration or intensity of exercise performed.

Before Exercise:
Pre-exercise sessions typically are used with a moderate intensity for a shorter duration (10-20 minutes) to help warm-up your muscles for activity.

Post Exercise:
NormaTec is best if used within a couple hours after exercise to help expedite your recovery process. Post-workout sessions are generally 20 to 60 minutes long with a moderate to high intensity level.
